Last week, one of our customers came into Janeen Home Décor and immediately noticed the slew of feathered friends. February is a bird themed month here and we may have gotten carried away with it. When you step in, you notice the beautiful, whimsical fun, but we do seem to have a lot feathered birds, ceramic birds, pictures of birds, nest and eggs. The customer then pointed us to the Portlandia video ‘Put A Bird On It’. We were doubled over with laughter. Unknowingly, we have become the ‘Put A Bird On It’ store! Rest assured we won’t be putting a bird on toast.

February at Janeen Home Decor

February is here and spring is around the corner. Here at Janeen Home Décor, we are winding down from the exciting and successful holiday season. We had a great time helping our customers set up their homes for the holidays. It was a busy, packed schedule of putting up trees, lights, and our famous bows. We are now in the process of sweeping up all of the glitter in our store to make way for the new merchandise for spring.

Janeen Home Décor has exciting things afoot. We’ve got a raffle for a $100 gift certificate to our store. If you want to enter, be sure to do so at our website before February 29^th. You are able to enter once a day. You could use that gift certificate towards so many new items in the store. Janeen Home Décor is now stocked up on bird items to celebrate spring being on its way!

We are so thrilled to announce that Janeen Home Décor is now carrying Nora Fleming. We had the opportunity to meet Nora and are so excited to carry her product line. She is a local artist with a love of beautiful things. We are the only store offering her items in Geneva!

Her line includes platters and bowls for serving. The twist is that there are mini figurines that attach to the platters (different ones for different parties). There is a ‘mini’ for every occasion. It is a great concept as you only need one platter/bowl and just switch out the mini for each event. We are delighted to offer her line in our store!

Swing by on February 19^th for a bit of practical advice by Janeen on how to stage your bookshelves. Janeen and the designers will be giving helpful tips on how to make a shelved space your own. Give us a call if you would like more information.

October’s class is all about the holidays! Sign up to learn how to adorn you staircase with garland and pick. Also Janeen and her designers will show how to make tree and staircase bows!
